When you use the contact form we collect your name, phone number and appliance type, and optionally your email address, preferred date and message. If you call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your phone number and a description of the problem.
How We Use It
We use this information to reply to your enquiry, arrange and carry out repairs, give quotes and follow up on a repair. We do not sell your personal information.
How Form Submissions Are Handled
When you send the contact form, the details are emailed to our business mailbox through our web host's mail system. The website does not store form submissions in a database. Your email address, if given, is used only so we can reply to you.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. The contact page sets one short-lived session cookie (called fmr_sid) that protects the form against forgery and automated abuse. It is deleted when you close your browser and is not used to identify you across other sites.
Spam and Abuse Protection
To prevent automated abuse, the contact form counts how many times it is used from the same connection. For this it keeps a hashed (not readable) form of your IP address together with timestamps in temporary files on the server, which are deleted automatically within about two days. Anti-abuse events are logged without your name, phone number or message.

Like most websites, our web host may keep standard server logs, which can include your IP address and the pages you request, for security and technical purposes.
Who Else Handles Your Information
Information is handled by FixMeRepair and by the service providers we use to run the website and receive messages, such as our web host and email provider. If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics services on this website.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep enquiry and job details only for as long as we need them to respond to you, carry out and support the repair, and meet our business and legal obligations.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send payment card or identity document details through the contact form.
